Compact Makeup Container

Design brief
Design and build an EDC (Everyday Carry) product for a user group of your choosing. The EDC will consist of at least 2 parts. The primary material of the first part will be metal. The primary material of the second part will be textile/fabric based
Context & User Description:
Teens tend to wear light makeup; that is cheap eyeshadow , mascara, some blush, and lip gloss. The powders or glossy content can easily dirty a makeup container’s mirror, this adds to the challenge of learning how to “keep things clean” for a teen with little to no guidance at home.

Concept

A common issue with compact containers is the loosening of their closing mechanism. My design has a fabric hinge and an elastic resting in grroves to keep the product closed.
As dust and other little particles stick to lip gloss easily. If users want to only us the mirror, they might appreciate having the makeup and makeup brush(s) covered for protection.
I designed a compact lip gloss container that has a panel to separate the makeup and the mirror.
The protective panel, made of metal or hard plastic has a fabric cover to avoid chemical reactions with the makeup or scratching the mirror. This cover is removable to allow the user to wash it easily.
